"I've been a vegetarian for almost 30 years. In 2005, I became involved with Akademia Asan and Joga „Sztuka Życia” schools, where I practise yoga on camps and teach courses on vegetarian cooking. I am interested in dietetics and the influence of food on human health, including prevention of civilization-related diseases by eating a balanced fruit-and-vegetable diet. My passion is fusion cuisine, where I combine the elements of vegetarian cooking from around the world. I approach every dish with love and respect for nature, and I share the knowledge that I have gained with others, that is why I have been a nutrition educator for 5 years, both at "Zielona Kraina" project targeting grade 1-4 kids, and at "Zdrowa kuchnia ‒ zdrowe społeczeństwo” project, intended for those working in gastronomy. I also supported my friend Piotrek Henschke during Poland's first plant Culinary Academy of Viva! magazine – „Zjedz buraków”.
Has been involved in the world of gastronomy for years, on all levels of his career. Since 2006, specialist on vegetarian and vegan cuisine. With Piotrek Ważyński, creates the menu and new recipes for wegeguru.
After finishing a gastronomy school, I stayed in the sector for good, since 2006, I have been specializing in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. I come from a family which has been attached to the land, for generations. I translate my knowledge of fruit and vegetables to my own understanding of taste, which then finds its way to the plates at wegeguru. The list of my proprietary recipes includes pickles, one of them Jerusalem artichoke, which I cultivate and prepare. As I'm aware that what I cook has a direct influence on others, I am happy to participate in the creation of a place that will emanate positive energy, where I will be sharing my experience and positive attitude to life”.
Psychologist who traveled to Cambodia to bring the centuries-old secret recipe for the hit of wegeguru - our own curry paste - along with full awareness that cooking is his destiny. Currently, also manager at wegeguru.
„Since I was a child, cooking has been my great love and passion, inspired by my parents. At home, we often cooked together, which gave us great joy. Having graduated from the studies, I decided to become involved in cooking for good and do what I love - cook. In 2016, I went to Cambodia to look for inspiration, new flavours, new colours and unconventional ideas for new dishes. Half a year later, after a short talk with Grzegorz Dereń and Piotrek Ważyński, I came back to Poland and joined the wege-team at Marszałkowska 28.
Fascinated by the plant-based cuisine and its healing powers, Iga started studies on nutrition and diet consulting. Exploring the arcana of diet-therapy, supports the team of wegeguru.
„I am a neurocognitivist by education, a cook by profession, and a traveller by passion. Whenever I'm free, I travel - so far, I have visited Iceland, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand. Most impressive was the cuisine of South-East Asia, that's why most of my culinary inspirations come from there. In my free time I like to take my dog for walks in the forest and bake sourdough bread”.
Although he programs and makes 3D graphics at night, he finds it hard to stop cooking. He has been a fulfilled cook for 13 years.
„I have graduated from two gastronomy schools, and about 10 years ago I met Piotr Ważyński, and became acquainted with vegan cooking. Since then, I've been trying to develop myself in that direction, though I took a break for a year to produce solar panels (I'm happy that wegeguru uses them too). But when I learnt about the chance to work with people like Grześ Dereń and Piotr Ważyński, I thought this was certainly going to be interesting, and decided to join the team, whose part I still am today.
Studies animal psychology and finds fulfilment in the kitchen, turning traditional Polish recipes vegan. She is the one to thank for wegeguru's mango curry.

The passion for cooking took her through Thailand and Indonesia to Melbourne, where she cooked under the guidance of experienced chefs. Specializes in vegan cheeses, which you can taste at wegeguru. Teamed up with her sister to start the 'Wege Siostry' workshop.
„I have been a vegetarian for over 10 years, and meat-free diet was the beginning of my culinary experiments. My passion for cooking became so strong that I abandoned my career in TV production and embarked on a life's journey whose leitmotif were the flavours of the world. During almost two years I watched the masters of Thai, Burman and Indonesian cuisines, and became enthralled by the aesthetics and philosophy of Japanese cooking. In the last year of travelling I worked in restaurants in Melbourne, Australia's culinary capital, and from there my path took me to wegeguru, where I would like to share my passion for cooking".
For two years has been living in Warsaw and finding fulfilment as a cook, constantly exploring the secrets of the plant world. Author of the vegan salmon on our menu. "I was born 972 kilometres from Warsaw, in Uman, Ukraine.
I learnt to cook from my grandpa (dedushka), and I gained culinary experience in Kiev, where I worked as a cook for eight years. What else? I’m interested in graffiti and enjoy cycling, also in the city. I’m a big fan of Leo Tolstoy’s books”.
Our sweet sorceress, literally and metaphorically. As she says: I love what I do, so it's clear she puts her heart and joy in the making of cakes and desserts, while keeping them delicious and healthy.
„I have a background in psychology, and I call myself a confectionery-bowl. I enjoy playing with flavours, colours and shapes. For over 2 years, I was a confectioner at Vege Miasto, where my sister and I provided Christmas and Easter catering services. For a couple of years, I also worked in handicraft, and taught workshops on felting. When I'm free, I meditate and practise ashtanga-yoga. I'm taking part in the wegeguru project, because it's created with passion, by people and for people.”
Experiments using chocolate and caramel are her favourite. She loves baking muffins and cookies. Besides, she is a specialist on make-up and mehendi.
„I developed my passion for confectionery-making under the watchful eye of my sister Marta, and wegeguru is a great opportunity to develop and create something exceptional. I am a make-up artist and beautician by profession. I also study English philology and practise ashtanga-yoga. I love sewing, making bags from recycled materials, and creating mehendi".
Specialises in alternative methods of brewing coffee and proprietary beverage recipes. Thanks to him wegeguru is a place where excellent desserts are accompanied by exquisite beverages.

"Cooking has been my thing since I was little, but these were the recipes of Jadłonomia that made me fall in love with vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Besides, baking cakes for my friends gives me a better humour, and every Christmas I turn into a machine for mass production of ginger breads. I'm a fan of sci-fi and phantasy literature - my favourite author is Neil Gaiman, but I also have a soft spot for Latin American literature. In my free time I look for old books about herbs and systematically educate myself. I also devote a lot of time to spiritual life - I try to meditate every day, preferably surrounded by the fragrance of incense and sage".

From the very start of the process of the restaurant's creation has been supporting the project with all her heart, providing advice and sharing experience. She believes that in accordance with the rule "you are what you eat", and through its energy, it makes us all better people. She is a vegetarian.

After finishing a gastronomy school, he worked in different places but that's because, as he says, wegeguru didn't exist back then.

„In addition to being part of wegeguru, I'm a founder of Gy Dziung Norbu, organization which provides help to the homeless and other people in need - every Saturday my friends and I cook and distribute meals for them in the centre of Warsaw.”
His family have lived in Warsaw for generations - his being the fifth. He loves the city and the fact that it has places like wegeguru makes him very happy.

He started his gastronomy adventure on the last year of his studies, working as a waiter. Thanks to that experience, despite getting the physiotherapist diploma, he decided to continue exploring the secrets of the culinary sector, also on other positions.
„In the meantime, I became a vegetarian, which was a specific return to the roots, because in the initial years of my life I didn't eat meat and had a vivid interest in plant-based cooking. „After hours I meet my friends, besides, I often work as a model - I like to have make-up applied. I used to go skateboarding, now I replaced the board with a bike. In love with gastronomy since she was a child - she learnt to cook from her mum. At wegeguru works as a waitress and assists the marketing department, for instance taking pictures at meetings with authors.
„Working at wegeguru made me stop to eat meat. I love to improvise in the kitchen and prepare dishes whose recipes only I know later. In my free time, I like to climb: Giewont, Rysy, Tarnica, Babia Góra – I have already been there."
Has a background in IT. Has worked in our restaurant from its beginnings. In addition to waiting at tables, he takes care of all our plants, which fits with his empathetic nature. Bless him.
“Wegeguru is the first vegan place where I've worked, which inspired me to change my eating habits - I pay more attention to what I eat, and I'm seeing positive changes. After hours I like to dance hakken, listen to uptempo music, I sometimes paint with watercolours (mainly abstractions), and play the ukulele.

„Actually, one could write a book about this, so... I'm Marcel. I love music: I play the didgeridoo, the frame drum, and Jew's harp. I like to watch cats, look at the trees and smell moss. From time to time, I sew something. And I find the smell of the forest soothing."
